What to Know About Transportation
Requesting Transportation:
All transportation requests and changes must be submitted through FinalForms.
Families who have open-enrolled their child or who require transportation to a location other than their primary residence must complete the Alternate Transportation Form within FinalForms each school year. Our top priority is to provide safe and timely transportation to and from students’ primary residences. Alternate location requests will be considered based on space availability and alignment with existing bus routes.
Routes & Transportation Communication:
As a reminder, all routes and bus-related updates/communication are shared with families through the StopFinder App (available for download in the App Store and Google Play).Updated transportation information for the 2025-26 school year will be available on August 20.
- RETURNING MIDVIEW TRANSPORTATION FAMILIES: Please log in to your StopFinder account on or after August 20, and scroll over to September 2 to ensure the rollover was successful. Ignore the StopFinder email invite from Transportation.
- NEW MIDVIEW TRANSPORTATION FAMILIES: Transportation will send an email invite to join StopFinder on August 20. If you have not received an email by August 21, check the “Junk/Spam” folder or double-check the email address listed in FinalForms.
For questions/concerns about your child's transportation, please contact the transportation department at 440-748-2322 or stop by their table at the Back-to-School Rally on August 21.
Free & Reduced-price Meals Update and Application
During the 2025-26 school year, the state of Ohio includes funding to cover the cost of providing no-cost breakfast and no-cost lunch to students qualifying for reduced-price meals. This means all families eligible for free OR reduced-price meals will receive breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE, provided they complete the required application.
- Over 40% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. Children from families whose annual income is at or below the federal income guidelines are eligible for free meals. We encourage all families who believe they may be eligible to apply.
Since financial situations change from year to year, families must fill out a new application each year.
The application process is easy and takes less than 10 minutes!
Applications are completely confidential and will not be shared outside of the district office.
Every eligible form counts and is a valuable resource for our school. Submitting an application ensures that all Midview families can access key benefits.
Please visit our Food Services web page to read more about Free & Reduced-Price Meals and to complete the application.
Preschool & Kindergarten Important Dates
We hope our youngest Middies are as excited as our staff is for the upcoming school year! Below are some key dates that families should keep in mind:
Preschool:
- Open House: September 4 from 5-6 p.m. at East Intermediate
- Preschool First Day: September 9
Kindergarten:
- MANDATORY Screenings: August 12, 13, and 14 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. in between North Elementary and West Elementary.
- Families who have successfully registered their child for the 2025-26 school year should have received an email detailing their date and time slot.
Building Placement & Teacher Assignment: To accommodate recent community growth, especially at the elementary level, kindergarten classes will once again be split between North and West Elementary Schools. Rest assured, regardless of the building, your child will receive the same high-quality education and care.
- Teacher assignments will be finalized after screenings are completed.
- Class lists will be posted at the district’s Back-to-School Rally on August 21 (see above section for more information).
- Kindergarten First Day(s): To help our youngest learners transition into the school environment with comfort and confidence, we are implementing a soft start to the school year. This gradual start gives students time to adjust in a smaller group setting before joining their full class.
- September 2: Only students with last names A–L attend
- September 3: Only students with last names M–Z attend
- September 4: ALL kindergarten students attend together
