LFHS Choir Newsletter

It has been a great start to the year. We have been getting to know each other, set best practices, and high quality standards for our LFHS choir community. Congratulations to our LFHS Choir students selected for the District 7 Illinois Music Education Association Festivals! They were chosen through a rigorous audition process from hundreds of the top music students across our region of Northern Illinois. They will participate in the district festival on November 7 before being considered for All State selection. We’re very proud of them!

Students can start saving now for the choir trip in 2028! The music department will be doing the Double Good Fundraiser again this year!

Please join us or tune into our first Vocal Honors Recital of the year on Thursday, November 5th at 2:00pm in the RMA. Honors students have been learning solos on their own and receiving individual coachings with Mr. Begale and Ms. Mah.

Applause is the parent booster organization for the band, orchestra, and choir programs at LFHS. We promote student recognition, awards, and scholarships; coordinate the annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser; provide dinners and post-concert treats; support BOC trips and activities; and much more!
