Notes from the Principal:
Good afternoon, Lion Family!
I hope that you have had a nice weekend and enjoyed some down time. As I write this today, I am hoping that you hear my heart... As a parent and a school employee, I have my own thoughts on state testing requirements. However, the tests are the primary way we are evaluated as a campus. Therefore, I am asking you to talk with your child and encourage them to do their very best. They don't have to get every answer right or score a perfect score. What the state is really looking for is growth from our students. If your child will take time to focus and use what they have learned this year, they can show growth. I truly believe this!
There are a some extracurricular activities this week around the Tuesday testing. Soccer, golf and tennis all have competitions this week. And then on Saturday, the band students have their UIL Solo and Ensemble competition. Good luck to all of those students!
There are a couple of big family events coming. Please mark your calendars. On April 28th, there will be a Family Movie Night. A Career Fair will happen on May 9th. These are both evening events and we would love to see you there!!!
If you have questions, please let us know. We are all here to help. Go Team Hill!
