Thursday, April 17th, 6:00-7:30 pm: Neumann University will host a large college fair with dozens of schools in attendance! See details here: College Fair | Neumann University. You do not have to register to attend, but sophomores and juniors, make sure to connect with any colleges of interest. It's a great time to fill out a postcard or to scan a code to learn more about a potential school!

FAFSA application numbers are down. Students (and families) are anxiously waiting for financial aid letters. Perhaps you weren't sure that you needed to complete it but are now applying to schools like DCCC or are receiving a scholarship (merit or athletic) that requires you to fill it out. Maybe you thought you would not be eligible but are now second-guessing that notion.

There's help available! April 15-19 is the FAFSA Week of Action. To say that things have been messy, confusing, frustrating, ________(phrase of your choosing) is an understatement. It is not fair for those of you waiting to make a final decision or put down a deposit. However, if you have questions or need assistance, please check out these resources: The Better FAFSA: What You Need to Know | U.S. Department of Education. Additionally, there is a new tool, Wyatt, who can assist you in completing the form:Get FAFSA Help. Check out PHEAA's virtual sessions if you have some nuanced questions:FAFSA: Completion Help Events | PHEAA.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if I can be of assistance. Also, local colleges are hosting events, such as Widener University: Widener University's FAFSA Action Week Supports Students Applying for Financial Aid. Note: You do not have to have applied to Widener to attend these events. Please check with your prospective colleges to see if they are hosting anything for admitted students!

Students and families in grades 9-11, mark your calendars now! PHS will host College Information Night: An Evening with the Experts on Monday, April 22nd at 6:30. You will have the opportunity to attend two sessions with professionals from Lafayette College, Rutgers University, Widener University, A+ College Financial Solutions, and Penn State's Scheyer Honors College.
