Dear OES Families,

What a wonderful month we have had at OES in October, and we still have so much fun left this week! Please be sure to check our November OES Press for important information and updates! A lot is happening this week, between Halloween Math Night tonight, Trunk or Treat on Thursday, Halloween this Friday🎃, and an incredible Parent Education Fair this Saturday!

I am so proud of our students this month. They have shown themselves to be caring, principled, and thoughtful thinkers in all they do. Thank you for your continued support and partnership!

I look forward to another fantastic month ahead with our OES community!

Kind regards,

Mrs. Murphy

Oxford Elementary Principal

Halloween Costumes:

Students may wear their costumes to school, but they are not required to. As you guide your child in planning a costume, we would appreciate your cooperation in planning something that is school-appropriate and not scary (gore/blood/morbid). As always, no toy weapons, weapon accessories (guns, knives, swords, light sabers, etc.), or full-face masks will be permitted. If you do not want your child to participate in Halloween activities, you can let their teacher know. If you have any questions about the appropriateness of a costume in school, please contact Mrs. Murphy (Marie.Murphy@oxfordschools.org)

Parent Volunteers:

All Halloween party volunteers must also complete an ICHAT form and have it returned to the main office by 10/28/25 to ensure there is time to process. All volunteers will also have their driver's license scanned into the Raptor Visitor Management system when they arrive for the party.

We are VERY excited to share with you some changes with Trunk or Treat this year. For the first time in a VERY long time we have made the decision to make this year's Trunk or Treat a DA AND OES event! With welcoming OES back to the trunk or treat fun again this event will be larger than years past so we have also decided to move it to the OES parking lot instead of DA.
