Happy Fall!
1st Concert Here We Come!
Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Families:
Happy Fall, Choir Families!
The leaves are turning, the air is crisp, and our singers are so close to their first concert of the year! I have to tell you, it's been a joy watching them since the first day of school. They've tackled new music, grown into a real ensemble, and found their voices together. Every rehearsal I see a little more confidence and a lot more heart, and I couldn't be prouder of them.
Making music is only part of what we do. Building a choir family matters just as much, so once a month we take time for Fun Fridays to laugh, connect, and get to know each other. And Homecoming week? Let's just say our singers brought the spirit, every single day!
Welcome to Tri-M!
I'm thrilled to share that 21 students have been accepted into our Tri-M Music Honor Society! These students stood out for their applications, grades, service, and leadership, and I can't wait to see the great things they'll do this year. Congratulations, and thank you for being such wonderful role models in our program!
Solo & Ensemble Contest
Is your singer ready to shine on their own or with a small group? Solo & Ensemble Contest is coming up! It's an optional (and really rewarding) chance for students to perform for a judge, get personal feedback, earn a rating, and possibly bring home a medal. If your student is interested, here's the sign-up form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScQNDwfn5iY8L5UjQn6SHaws2NK-EzN2vZw1_NXoz9xnef-wQ/viewform?usp=header
Support Our Music Boosters
Our amazing Music Boosters have lots of fundraisers going on this year, and every dollar goes right back to our students. These funds help with private lesson scholarships, college scholarships, meals for our musicians, support for students going on the trip, and so much more. Whether you shop, donate, or volunteer, thank you. Your support truly makes a difference!

Dear Fenton Music Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We are so excited for another great year with our Fenton music students. We have an amazing year ahead for both Band and Choir, and we need our families to help make all of these opportunities possible!
There are many different ways to get involved, and you do not have to commit to everything. Even helping for one event, donating snacks, or giving a few hours of your time makes a difference.
Marching Band Volunteers & Donations
Our marching band has approximately 60 students, and we will need volunteers throughout the season, including:
- Volunteers for home game performances
- Volunteers for our competition October 17
- Snack and drink donations for students
For snack donations, please remember that we are a peanut- and tree-nut-free group. Some examples of items that are helpful include:
- MadeGood granola bars
- Chips
- Fruit snacks
- Beef sticks
- Small bottles of Gatorade
- Juice boxes
We will send out specific volunteer and donation sign-ups as the season gets underway.
Band & Choir Concerts
Throughout the school year, we will have several Band and Choir concerts where light refreshments are served to students and families following the performance.
We are looking for:
- A few Choir parents to help with Choir concert refreshments
- A few Band parents to help with Band concert refreshments
The commitment is generally helping with setup, serving, and cleanup after the concert.
Spaghetti with a Song
In March, the Choir Department will host Spaghetti with a Song, and they will need additional parent volunteers to help make that event a success. More information and volunteer opportunities will be shared as we get closer to the event.
Our Biggest Fundraising Goal: Disney!
Of course, one of our biggest goals this year will be fundraising for the Fenton Music Department’s Disney trip at the end of February! This is a huge opportunity for our students, and fundraising will take all of us working together.
There will be plenty of opportunities to participate, whether you can volunteer your time, help with fundraising, make a donation, or reach out to local businesses for support.
Get Involved!
Our music programs are only as strong as the support we receive from our families and community. We encourage everyone to find one way—or several ways—to get involved this year.
If you have time to volunteer, can donate, have a fundraising idea, or simply want to help support the Band and Choir Departments in any way, please reach out to us!
Your involvement doesn’t just support the Music Boosters—it directly supports your child and all of our students by helping provide experiences, opportunities, and memories they will carry with them long after high school.
Thank you in advance for being part of our Music Booster family. We are looking forward to an incredible 2026–2027 school year! See you August 31st!
Let’s make it a great one!
