A couple clubs have started at ADL this week!

Drama Club: Wednesdays 2:40 pm-4:30 pm

Chess Club: Thursdays 3:45 pm-4:45 pm

Welcoming everyone back to school can unfortunately mean welcoming back illnesses such as colds, stomach bugs, and COVID. Here are some reminders for keeping our community healthy.

Reasons to stay home from school include:

fever 100.4 or higher within the last 24 hours
vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours
unexplained rash
illness or tiredness that makes it hard to learn

Students are ready to return to school after the following:

no fever for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medications
no vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours
symptoms are getting better and they are feeling well enough to participate in school

Visit this website from the Vermont Department of Health for additional COVID information. Other healthy tips include frequent handwashing, getting plenty of sleep, staying hydrated, and eating a balanced diet.

Hello Families of Fall Athletes,

It is so great to see our Fall teams back in action! I wanted to share the Fall game/meet schedule with you. You can find the link to the schedule here. It can also be on our athletics webpage. The schedule on the website will always be the most up to date place to find accurate information.

Occasionally, mother nature is not on our side, please don’t call the school wondering about cancellations. Decisions will be made by 2:00 pm and coaches will notify families of their athletes. It will be announced at school and students will be allowed access to phones to call parents if needed. We will also update the website and put an announcement on the home page.

Fall weather changes quickly and can change dramatically from the start of a practice or a game until the end. Please make sure your athlete is prepared with layers of clothing to keep them warm and dry. Every student has had the opportunity to get a gym locker. If your athlete did not want one and changes their mind they can ask any of the PE teachers at any time.

Links for each team are below. Purchases are completely optional. Orders will be ready about 10 days after the store closes and will be delivered to students at school. Hurry don't delay, stores are only open for a limited time.
