A message from Mrs. Holloman, Principal🍎

Dear IVES Families,

By now, you have likely read the exciting news that we have a new principal arriving for the 2026–2027 school year! Krissi Camper is truly amazing, and we are thrilled to have her leading IVES next year! We have invited her to visit a few times between now and the end of the school year so she can begin getting to familiarize herself with IVES. Students may see her walking around the building with me and can say hello!

Please know that I remain fully committed to leading IVES strongly through the end of this school year. I will miss you all so much and have truly loved my time here. One of the things I greatly appreciate about IVES is the incredible generosity of our community. Because of you, we had our most successful Boosterthon to date! Your support allows us to create even more amazing opportunities for our students and provide meaningful professional development for our staff. Thank you so very much for your continued generosity.

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, please keep a close eye on the calendar—there is so much happening! CMAS testing begins next week, and we know our students are going to do an amazing job. Please help set them up for success with a good night’s rest and a healthy breakfast. We have planned fun and encouraging activities to support both students and staff during this time. Our goal is to keep school a positive, safe, and engaging place—not a stressful one. If your child is feeling nervous, please remind them that they are ready and simply need to do their best—we already know how incredible they are!

We also have several exciting events coming up, including Skate City, Parents’ Night Out, Brush Crazy, and our annual Community Bingo Night in celebration of the Month of the Military Child. We love connecting with our families and hope to see many of you there!

Thank you for entrusting us with your children each and every day. We love them all, and our goal is to ensure every child is SEEN, HEARD, and LOVED.

With gratitude,
Pam. Holloman

CMAS Information 📝

Dear Inspiration View Elementary School Family,

With the combination of very warm days, followed by cold days, you know that spring is around the corner. With the change in seasons comes the time to measure the progress your child has made in the classroom this year. Beginning April 6th, third, fourth and fifth-graders will participate in Colorado assessments of English language arts and math. Our fifth-graders will also take tests in science. Some schools may have 4th grade students who will take social studies as well. These tests provide important feedback on the firm foundation we have built with each learner.

  • These assessments do not define a student’s abilities and skills, but they do impact how we deliver instruction to meet the unique needs of each student. As examples: Teachers use these assessment results to plan with students and set goals to support their individual paths, planning for next steps in the learning journey.
  • Parents gain insight about academic strengths and areas for growth, as well as information about how students compare to others across the state and nationally.
  • Our community is provided with information about how our school is performing overall.

Here are some things you can do at home to maximize your child’s success: feed your child a good breakfast the mornings of the assessment, ensure your child gets a good night’s rest, continue daily reading time at home, and continue to practice basic math.

On behalf of the entire staff, thank you for your continued support of your child, our teachers and our school. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. You can also access further information about our district and state assessment program at: http://d49.org/assessments.

In partnership,

Pam Holloman

Helpful Information for the Year đź““

Cell Phone Policy:

In accordance with district policy, cell phones and other personal communication devices (to include smart watches) should be kept in students' backpacks and turned off during the school day. These devices should not be used during school hours unless specifically authorized by a teacher for educational purposes. This helps reduce distractions and supports a positive classroom environment.

Please review the Power Zone and Inspiration View Elementary's Cell Phone Policy

Dress Code:

We ask that families help ensure students come to school dressed appropriately. Clothing should be school-appropriate, comfortable for learning and play, and in line with the district dress code. This includes items such as shorts and tank tops, which should provide adequate coverage and support a respectful school atmosphere.

Important Traffic Support Needed

Safety is our first concern. Please follow the signage for right turn only out of the parking lot. We have had several near misses recently and need to ensure the safety of all. Thank you for following the posted signage.

Please do not use the dirt lot to the west of the school as this property is not a parking lot and creates safety concerns when exiting onto Vista Del Pico. Please use the street for parking, the kiss and go lane, or the Inspiration View Elementary parking lot. Thank you!

Attendance:

If your student has an appointment, please be sure to send in a physician's note to the front office so that we can properly code the excused absence in the system. Examples might include, doctor, dentist, etc.).

Should your student be absent, parents must report this absence to the front office with a phone call (719-495-5302) or an email (nicole.prewett@d49.org). Nicole is our Attendance Secretary and is the person who can assist with the call. If you do not report your student's absence, it will be marked as unexcused. Unexcused absences are tracked and reported to D49 truancy. If you have any questions about reporting absences or truancy, please reach out to Jessica Cole (719-495-5307).
