Yucca Elementary School Family School Newsletter
Dear Yucca Elementary School Families,
The entire Yucca School community extends its sincerest gratitude to our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for their exceptional sponsorship and support of two wonderful recent events: the Scholastic Book Fair and our annual Fall Festival/Literacy Night. We appreciate all of our PTA volunteers who helped with the book fair & our fall festival/literacy night! These successful events truly enriched the lives of our students and families, and their realization was a direct result of the PTA's time, dedication, and tireless efforts. We deeply appreciate the many hours volunteers spent organizing the book fair, selecting titles, and planning the engaging, literacy-focused activities for the festival. Your commitment to fostering a love for reading and building a strong school community is an invaluable gift. Thank you for all you do!

🌟 Partnering for Success: The Importance of Attendance
We are continually striving to create the best learning environment, and strong student attendance is key to that success!
We kindly ask for your continued support in ensuring your child is present at school every day possible. Consistent attendance is critical for keeping students on track with their learning.
When to Stay Home: Please keep your child home if they are showing signs of illness and have a fever. Students need to be fever free for 24 hours without the use of medicine to return to school.
Reporting an Absence: If your child is ill, please contact the school office right away to inform us. This ensures the absence is recorded as excused.
Our Student Attendance statistics are in the graph which follows.
Thank you for being our partner in your child's education!
Warmly,
Christina Trujillo, PhD

Parent Pick Up/Drop Off Procedures
⚠️ Important Safety Notice: Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedures
For the safety of all Yucca students, please adhere to these critical procedures during arrival and dismissal:
Always use the designated crosswalks when walking your student to or from the school entrance.
Students should never be dropped off in the main parking lot. This is a major safety hazard.
If you need to enter the school, please park in a designated space and walk your child to the front entrance.
If using the drop-off lane, please only allow your student to exit the vehicle once you have pulled forward to the designated zone near the crosswalk. Please do not have students exit from the driver's side of the vehicle.
Your strict adherence to these rules is essential to keeping our walkways and parking areas safe for everyone. Thank you for your continued partnership!
