Greetings Spartan Families,

As we prepare for another exciting week at Smithfield-Selma High School, we would like to share a few important updates and reminders.

Thank You for an Amazing Homecoming Week!

What an incredible Homecoming Week! From the dance and parade to the football game, it was wonderful to see our students, families, staff, and community come together to celebrate our school and show their Spartan pride. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Homecoming a memorable experience!

Important Reminders

  • Monday, October 19, 2026: Teacher Workday – No school for students.

  • Student Checkouts: Please check students out before 1:30 PM to help minimize disruptions during our dismissal procedures.

  • Morning Arrival: The tardy bell rings promptly at 7:10 AM. Please encourage students to arrive on time and ready to learn.

  • Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up: All student drop-offs and pick-ups should take place at the back of the school.

Second Quarter: A Fresh Start!

As we begin the second academic quarter, we encourage our Spartan families to help us keep academics at the forefront. This is a great opportunity for students to reflect on their progress, set new goals, and finish the semester strong!

Please continue encouraging your student to attend school daily, arrive on time, complete assignments, and seek additional support when needed. We also encourage families to monitor grades regularly and maintain open communication with teachers. Working together, we can help every Spartan achieve success!

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our Spartan community. Let's make this second quarter a great one!

Go Spartans!
