Gooding Rec District Message
Gooding Recreation District will have a very interesting summer. The gym will be closed starting June 1, 2026. The reason for the closure is IESDB and the state are removing all of the parking and redoing it all. This will make baseball and softball a struggle, but we will compete. For baseball, Softball, Machine Pitch, and Tee Ball will enter through the Northwest end of the track through the large gate and will walk over to the prospective fields. We will have porta potties on site as bathrooms will not be available. I apologize for the inconveniences. We will get through this summer and have a new great parking lot going forward.
City of Gooding Public Works Update
Streets
ITD has indicated they will be providing information for the city to share soon for the asphalt and sidewalk work along Main Street scheduled to begin in July.
Due to concerns for child safety from residents on Illinois Street by the swimming pool, the city has installed speed bumps. Please watch out for children everywhere though, now that school is out.
Sewer
Gentry Civil Corp will be bringing on multiple crews to complete as much sewer line replacement as possible by the August 31st construction deadline. Work is happening in the alleys between 4th and 6th on the West side of town, and on 5th Ave on the east side of town.
