Last October, Josh Stump shared with staff members an anti-hate PSA campaign put forth by OCDE. Staff member Elizabeth Bagnol's daughter Zabby's portrayal above was selected for recognition and a $500 award.

Way to go Josh for encouraging student art, and way to go Zabby for being recognized!

Earlier this month, OCSA received the completed HVAC evaluation from Western Allied Corporation which measured the air balance in rooms and certified the Air Changes per Hour (ACH) in instructional spaces and teacher work rooms to ensure that we are meeting Ventilation in Buildings recommendations put out by the Center for Disease Control. Also linked is a helpful blog titled Air Change Rates 101 with links to other studies and resources.

The goal is to aim for 4-6 air changes per hour (ACH) in typical classrooms - we have done that in all of our spaces!

As an example, the Tower 208 Teacher Workroom has an ACH of 5.93. This means that the air in that space is exchanged approximately every 11 minutes.

When additional mitigation efforts like the MERV-13 filters and HEPA filters in classrooms are utilized in conjunction with the air exchange rates, those combined efforts go a long way to mitigating the spread of COVID-19.

All grade changes must be submitted no later than this Tuesday, January 26th. This includes grade changes for students who initially received Incomplete marks - these must be changed to a letter grade.

AS communicated in our Teacher Norms for Spring Semester 2021, teachers need to be updating their grades bi-weekly (every two weeks) in order to communicate progress to families, and enable support providers on campus to intervene.
