We are looking forward to a fun-filled day of Halloween festivities at Hillcrest! As a reminder, students are welcome to come to school dressed in their Halloween costumes or school spirit colors.

Our school-wide Halloween parade will begin at 10:00 a.m., and families are invited to join us for this special tradition!

Costume Reminders

To help ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration for everyone, please review these important guidelines:

  • Costumes: Students may wear their costumes to school or bring a costume that can easily be slipped on over their regular clothing.

  • Accessories: Toy weapons, swords, and handheld costume accessories are not permitted.

  • Appropriate Attire: Costumes must be suitable for school. Please avoid fake blood, frightening imagery, or inappropriate language.

  • Masks: Halloween masks that cover the face are not permitted. Students must remain easily identifiable and have clear visibility throughout the school day.

Parade Information

  • Date: Friday, October 30

  • Time: 10:00 a.m.

  • Family Attendance: Parents and guardians are welcome to attend the outdoor parade. Costume guidelines also apply to adult spectators.

  • Rain Plan: In the event of rain, the parade will take place indoors and will be for students only.

Celebrating Our Differences

We understand that not all families participate in Halloween celebrations. If your child will not be participating, please notify their classroom teacher in advance. An alternative activity will be provided during the parade, and students will also have opportunities to enjoy fall-themed activities.

Food and Treat Reminders

In accordance with our district nutrition policy, outside food is not permitted in the building. Please do not send candy, goody bags, cupcakes, or other treats to school.

Thank you for helping us make this a safe, inclusive, and memorable day for our Hillcrest students. We look forward to celebrating together! 🎃
