Juniors and Seniors can sign up on Naviance under the "Colleges" tab and clicking on college visits. Students must sign up 1-day in advance in order to attend these visits.

Blake and Springbrook will co-host a college fair at Springbrook High School on October 11th, 2023 from 10:30am-12:00pm at Springbrook High School for 12th Grade Students only. Over 75 college representatives will be in attendance for students to speak with about the application process, admission process, and to learn about each school. If you are interested in attending, students please sign up on the sign up sheet below by September 26th, 2023. Blake High School will provide busses for students to take to and from Springbrook High School the day of the trip (Cost TBA). If you are interested in attending the Hispanic College Fair on October 13th, 2023, please fill out this form. The cost of the trip will be communicated with those who sign up 3 weeks in advance of the field trip. Please see Mr. Marshall in the career center if you have any questions. Students must complete this form by Friday September 29th, 2023 by the end of the school day.

1. Created a College List-You should create a college list on Naviance of colleges that you are thinking about applying to. Once you know that you will be applying to that school, you will move that college to the Colleges that I'm applying to section on Naviance. Only colleges in the Applying to section on Naviance will have your transcript, teacher recommendation letters, and counselor recommendation letters sent to those colleges. 2. Create a Common App Account-using your personal email, create a common application account to apply to multiple colleges at once. You can begin to complete the personal section on common app and begin to add the colleges that you will be applying to on there as well. All colleges are not on the common app; for those schools you will have to go to the school website to apply. Here is the link to common app
3. Match Common App and Naviance- in order to make sure your information is sent to all of the colleges you will be applying to, you will need to match common app and Naviance. To learn how to do so, please click here
4. Work on Common App Essays-You can select one of the common app essays here and begin to write that now before school starts
5. Brag Sheet-you must complete the BLAKE HIGH SCHOOL BRAG SHEET on Naviance before school starts to ensure your counselor can write your recommendation letter. The brag sheet can be found on the Naviance home page at the top right by clicking on your initials, then clicking on surveys from your school. You will click on BLAKE HIGH SCHOOL BRAG SHEET and complete the survey.

In order to have your transcripts released and sent to your colleges, you must complete the Transcript Request Form 15 school days in advance of your deadline. The first 5 transcripts are free, each additional one after that is $3. These forms can be found in the counseling office lobby outside of our School Registrar Ms. Marks office door or inside of the college and career center. Once the form has been completed signed by parent and yourself, you will turn the form in to Ms. Marks. You can also indicate on the form if you need a counselor recommendation letter for your college applications.
