SEPTEMBER 5, 2025
A Message From Mrs. Carmody
Dear Fremont Families,
We have officially entered the final stretch of the school year. While the calendar says we only have a few weeks remaining, these are often the busiest days for our students, staff, and you. Between final projects, end-of-year assessments, and the excitement of upcoming celebrations, it is easy for our focus on school to dip. However, I want to encourage you to remind your child/ren that we’ve got this. We can finish strong. The growth we’ve seen since August is remarkable. Let’s keep that momentum going right up until the final bell.
On a personal note, I am feeling that end-of-year "transition" energy right along with you. This weekend, I’ll be watching my youngest child graduate from college. It’s a vivid reminder of how quickly the time passes. From the elementary years you are all in now to the young adults they eventually become. Whether your child is finishing Kindergarten or heading off to the Intermediate School, these milestones are the result of years of steady effort. Enjoy the ride of young children. While it can be a bit of a roller coaster, it is an exciting ride for sure!
Warmly,
Beth Carmody
Principal
Our kindergarten stars took center stage on May 1st for the annual Kindergarten Sing! Students performed an energetic selection of songs they’ve mastered throughout the year. It was a joy to welcome families to the audience to witness the culmination of months of practice, rhythm, and hard work. What a showcase of our youngest performers’ talents!

MEDICATION PICK-UP INFORMATION
Fremont School District has set up guidelines for the administration and transportation of medications at school. These guidelines have been established in order to ensure the safety and well being of all children.
Parents/Guardians are responsible for picking up any medication at the end of the school year. All medication, including inhalers and Epi-Pens, must be picked up by 3:00pm JUNE 12, 2026. Please make arrangements to pick up your child’s medication.
MEDICATION WILL NOT BE SENT HOME ON THE BUS WITH YOUR CHILD. ANY MEDICATIONS LEFT AFTER JUNE 12 WILL BE DISPOSED OF.
If your child will be attending any summer school programs, please let the nurse know so that those medications can be sent to the appropriate building. Summer school medications MUST be picked up on the last day of their summer school session.
As a reminder, new Medication Authorization Forms will need to be filled out by the child’s physician each school year. Forms can be found on the school website in the Health Services - Fremont School District 79 section.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter. If you have any questions, please contact the health office.
