A Message from Mrs. Pittser, Superintendent
At Miami Trace, our greatest strength lies within our TEAM - a group of dedicated staff who go above and beyond to make a lasting impact on students and families. Their work extends far beyond classroom walls- supporting the learning process during the day and dedicating time to extra events in the evenings and on weekends. Whether it's cheering on our student athletes, guiding student performances, hosting family engagements activities, or coordinating special events, our staff continuously demonstrate commitment to meaningful and memorable experiences for all.
We are also deeply grateful for our PTO, Academic Boosters, Band Boosters, Athletic Boosters and all the community clubs and organizations whose time, effort and support help make these opportunities possible for our Panthers. Together, this TEAM embodies the true spirit of Panther Pride!

Strategic Plan
As part of the District’s strategic plan, a Capital Asset Planning Subcommittee has been formed to ensure MT remains proactive in maintaining and improving its facilities and assets for the future. This group, made up of district staff, community members and Board representatives, is focused on evaluating long-term needs of our campus and ensuring that investments align with both current and future student success.
To support this important work, the District has partnered with SHP, a trusted architectural and planning firm, to provide master planning services. These services include site studies and conceptual design development for proposed improvements across the District. Another instrumental partner is Woolpert, who recently devised enrollment projections. Together, the subcommittee, SHP, and Woolpert will guide a thoughtful data-driven approach to facility and resource planning for the future.

What would you like to share about your life and journey since graduating from Miami Trace?
The path I took to get where I am today is not the one I imagined back in high school. Over time, I’ve learned that my plans will never be greater than God’s plan. As you grow, your perspective on life begins to shift, and there’s something truly beautiful about that. You start to find joy and meaning in stages of life you never expected—moments you once overlooked become the ones you cherish most. The path may be unclear, but that doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Trust that every step is shaping you for where you’re meant to be. Enjoy the journey.
What is one personal or professional achievement you are most proud of since graduating from Miami Trace?
Since graduating from Miami Trace, I am most proud of marrying the love of my life, Carly. She is smart, beautiful, caring, devoted and empowering (she is also watching me as I write these answers...) She has supported me in all of my personal and professional goals, all while chasing her own career goals as a Pharmacist. I am excited to see where God leads our marriage as we build a life and family together.
What is your favorite memory from your time at Miami Trace?
My favorite memory from Miami Trace was winning the State track meet in the 110-meter hurdles my senior year. Winning that race had been a goal of mine since I started running track. It was a great feeling to see and feel the hard work finally pay off after training for so long. Achieving that goal helped me to earn a scholarship to continue my athletic and academic endeavors at the University of Kentucky, where I would go on to earn my bachelors and doctorate degrees.
What advice would you give to current Miami Trace students as they prepare for their future?
Be intentional about setting goals and creating a plan to achieve them. Write down what you want to do in life and three things you can do to get there. Create small, manageable, daily habits that when stacked up over time, lead to change. The path to success will not always be what you think it should look like. But, having a plan in place with systems to get there will make it easier to follow.
Health & Wellness Corner
District Wellness Plan
MT is proud to introduce an updated District Wellness Plan, developed in partnership with Adena Health Systems and the Fayette County Public Health Department. Grounded in Ohio’s Whole Child Framework, this plan focuses on two primary goals: (1) building awareness of available resources and (2) supporting healthy lifestyles.
Key action steps include creating a comprehensive community resource guide and developing, distributing, and implementing nutrition-physical-and emotional wellness materials designed to engage students, parents, and the broader community. Together, these efforts reinforce our commitment to the well-being of every staff member, student and family.
