Tiger Times - Week of August 10, 2026
Welcome Tigers!
Millennium Students and Parents,
We had an amazing first week of school. The first day of school we had our welcome back assmelby with the entire student body. It was great feeling the energy on campus. Our students and staff are adjusting to navigating around campus with our rennovations happening in the heart of the campus. We know it takes a few weeks to settle into new routines.
All students received their picture ID this week. Any students who were absent and did not receive their ID should report directly to the bookstore to get their ID. Reminder - All staff and students are required to wear a physical ID while on campus. It must be visible on their person. We will work with our students the first couple weeks in establishing and communicating this expectation. It is non-negotiable.
Entering Campus - All students entering campus must show their physical ID and students will be checked in electronically. If students forget their ID, they will be sent directly to the bookstore to get an ID before heading to class.
Parent Drop Off:
- Students may be dropped off in the front loop of Wigwam.
- Students may be dropped off in the student parking lot by the T building.
- Students MAY NOT be dropped off at the bus loop off Park Avenue
- Students may be picked up in the student parking lot by the baseball fields. Parents can enter campus from the entrance off Park Avenue.

Chromebook Troubles
Students having issues with their Chromebook need to visit the library counter. Students are required to have our campus technicians do any and all repairs to their device. The DPP is a great way to ensure these repairs are covered. This coverage does need to be renewed each school year. As a reminder, personal devices are not allowed to be used on campus.
School Hours, Attendance, and Tardy
Our school hours are from 7:30 AM - 2:15 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Wednesdays. Students need to arrive on campus with enough time to arrive to their classes before the late bell rings. Please be sure to accommodate entering campus through security devices. There will be lines to enter campus.
- Regular student attendance is necessary to provide the greatest opportunity for student academic success.
- If you need to call in an absence for your student, please contact 623-932-7200 Extension 2 and leave your student’s name, ID number, date, and the reason for the absence and it will be processed as soon as possible.
- Students who are late to any class during the day will be marked tardy. 5 tardies to a class will be the equivalent of 1 absence for the class.
- Attendance Appeals will be held when a student misses 10 or more classes in a particular course.
- An Attendance Appeal could result in the loss of credit for the student. Please refer to the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook and review the district policy regarding attendance and tardiness.
Don't be Late to Class!
"The time you take to prepare shows the respect you have for the opportunity." - William Arthur Ward
Part of our Portrait of a Graduate is to prepare students to be responsible adults. This includes being on time to all classes every day.
Students who are more than 15 minutes late to class will be marked absent for that period. An accumulation of 5 tardies will equal 1 absence.
Consequences
5 tardies - Detention
10 tardies - Extended detention
15 tardies - Office referral (may result in ISS or OSS)
