Week 13
Issue #14
Greetings, Wildcat Family!
Greetings Wildcat Nation!
A special shout-out to all of our scholars who have represented Lovejoy High School through performances, competitions, and other extracurricular activities. We are extremely proud of your dedication, commitment, and the way you continue to embody the mission and vision of Lovejoy High School. To our Lovejoy community, thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and advocacy on behalf of our scholars.
As we enter the second half of the semester, I challenge our parents and guardians to maintain a laser-like focus on attendance, academic progress, and assignment completion. Please monitor your scholar’s grades regularly, maintain open communication with teachers, and reinforce the importance of taking ownership of their learning. Our scholars must remain focused, engaged, and accountable as we work toward a successful semester.
A few important reminders:
Dress Code Expectations: Our dress code expectations remain in effect, and we need the continued support of our parents and guardians to ensure compliance. Students are not permitted to wear hats, hoods, beanies, do-rags, Nike ski masks, bonnets, or blankets during the school day. Moving forward, these items will be confiscated and returned directly to parents or guardians. Your partnership in reinforcing these expectations is appreciated.
Dual Enrollment and Work-Based Learning: As we begin the second half of the semester, dual enrollment students must remain attentive to their college coursework, assignment deadlines, and communication with college instructors. Likewise, students participating in work-based learning must meet all attendance, performance, and program expectations. These opportunities provide valuable experiences that prepare our scholars for life beyond Lovejoy. They must be approached with the maturity, responsibility, and commitment they deserve.
Wildcat Nation, our focus must remain on excellence! Let us continue to work together to ensure our scholars finish the semester strong. Remember, excellence is not an accident; it is the result of intentional effort, consistent expectations, and collective accountability.
Mission Possible II: Excellence by Design!
