From the Principal

Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families,

As we settle into the school year, we want to share a couple of important reminders that help us keep our school day running smoothly and ensure our students have the learning time and support they need.

During school hours, 9:05–3:35, our teachers are focused on instruction and caring for students. This includes getting the day started, teaching lessons, supporting students, and managing the many needs that come up throughout the school day. Because of this, teachers are not able to stop and conference with families during instructional hours. If you need to connect with your child's teacher, please send them a message, and they will work with you to find a time before or after school when they can give your conversation the attention it deserves. We appreciate your understanding as we protect this important instructional time for all students.

We also want to remind families that all visitors must check in at the front office before entering the school. Our front doors serve as our single point of entry, which allows us to know who is in the building and helps us maintain a safe environment for students and staff.

We know that walking your child to class or stopping by to say hello can feel like a small thing, but for everyone's safety, families may not walk students to their interior classroom doors without first checking in at the front office. If you need to enter the building, simply stop by the office and our team will be happy to help.

Thank you for partnering with us to protect instructional time, maintain a safe school environment, and make sure our Cheetahs have the best possible school day. We truly appreciate your understanding and support!

LAST DAY: Ukulele Club for 3rd Graders

Calling all interested 3rd graders! Join us for a fun, after-school music experience where you’ll learn ukulele, play songs, and have a great time making music with friends. Club meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:40–4:05 PM in the Cherrydale Primary Music Room.

Applications are due Wednesday, September 23! Rehearsals begin September 29 and/or October 1. Performance dates are TBD.
