Principal's Corner
Hello FamiLEE,
We are almost ready for the ACT. We have been working hard and ready to show the wonderful things happening at Lee.
We need your help. Students are not allowed to walked back and forth to their cars after entering the building unless an administrator approves. All email checkouts must be submitted by noon daily. If not submitted by noon, you must physically check your young adult out. All checkouts must happen before 3:15p.m.
Please encourage your young adult to finish strong. We are requiring students to do academic overtime during club time if they have not completed assignments or grades are not exhibiting excellence. Please remind your young adult about the expectation to complete work on time and stay focused to finish the year strong.
Our Juniors will be taking the ACT Plus Writing test on Tuesday, April 8. All 9th, 10th, & 12th grade students will have an E-Learning day that day and will access their teachers instruction through Zoom/ Google Meets and Schoology. Our juniors had a great boot camp today. We are seven school days away from the ACT. We are ready to show growth. Please make sure your junior young adult is at school on Tuesday, April 8th by 8:20a.m.
Friday, April 18, 2025, will be an E-Learning Day. Students will have assignments on Schoology for each class. They will follow their regular schedule to log into the on-line classes. They will have a Google Meets link in a folder in their Schoology class. Their teachers will give them instructions for the assignments and class instruction.
I want to continue to emphasize the importance of all students being here each day and on time. Good attendance is essential for achievement in school and we need your child here as much as possible so that we can move forward as a school community. When your child misses school for any reason, please send excuse notes to LHS.Attendance@hsv-k12.org.
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Kitrise Torain
LHS Principal
