These Cats...
Our 8th grade students had an exciting opportunity to visit Portage High School today to learn more about Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses offered at the high school level. During this visit, students toured CTE classrooms, met instructors, and heard directly about hands-on programs that prepare students for college, careers, and skilled trades.
This experience is designed to help students explore their interests, ask questions, and begin thinking about future course options as they prepare for the transition to high school. Thank you to Portage High School for hosting us!

Important Information from our School Nurse
Union Township Middle School is proud to announce it will be working with Project Adam, a national organization named for a young student athlete who died from sudden cardiac arrest during a high school basketball game. Project Adam provides guidance and resources to assist us to develop a cardiac emergency response plan which will include drills for staff. After successfully completing a series of steps, we will be designated a “Heart Safe School”.
During this process we encourage EVERYONE to notice where the five AED’s in are located:
- Outside WHS Front Office
- In the field house/weight room
- Next to pool/concession stand
- Across from the Nurse Office
- UTMS Commons
Scan the code at each AED to get important information that could help save a life.
