STAAR OATH
IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED PLEASE DO ASAP
Dear Parents,
As the STAAR test approaches, we need your assistance in making sure that all third through fifth grade ocelots are aware of the technology restrictions during the test. Please read through the student technology oath and complete the Google form to show that you have spoken to your child about these expectations. Completing the form is mandatory, and it is due April 11th. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued support.

STUDENT BEHAVIORS
Example of general email that will be sent home for behavior.
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide you with an update on [student's name]’s behavior in the [hallway, bathroom, cafeteria, recess].
(CHOOSE 1)
During our instructional time, (he/she) has occasionally made comments that disrupt the flow of the lesson by interjecting while I or others are speaking. These behaviors not only distract from the learning process but also affect the overall classroom environment.
(Student's name) was reminded of the arrival procedures, which are consistently available on the Promethean board. Unfortunately, (he/she) has not adhered to these reminders and has been moving around the classroom, which has caused disruptions for other students. This behavior has become a regular occurrence and is affecting (his/her) ability to engage in independent practice. The assignments provided are specifically designed to target areas where (he/she) needs additional support.
(Student's name) has been reminded of the hallway procedures, which are clearly displayed on posters throughout the building. However, (he/she) has not consistently followed these guidelines, resulting in disruptions in the hallway and impacting other grade levels. This behavior has become a frequent issue and is affecting the students who are adhering to the rules.
(Student's name) has been reminded of the cafeteria procedures, which are clearly displayed on posters throughout the building. However, (he/she) has not consistently followed these guidelines. This behavior has become a frequent issue and is affecting the students who are adhering to the rules.
(CHOOSE 1)
I would appreciate it if you could have a conversation with (student's name) regarding suitable tasks to focus on during this time.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could discuss the expected hallway procedures with (student's name).
Please be aware that a second occurrence of this behavior will result in a managed behavior report from the teacher, which will be documented in Review 360. A third instance will lead to an office referral also recorded in Review 360.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Should you have any suggestions on how we can further assist [student's name] in successfully completing fifth grade, please feel free to reach out.
