Gahanna Lincoln High School
2025-2026
A Message from Mrs. Williams
Last Monday, we held our Quarter 2 Class Meetings, and our students were fired up as we shared updates on each class’s progress in our Secure the B.A.G. initiative, which focuses on Behavior, Attendance, and Grades.
Secure the B.A.G. is all about teamwork. Each class earns points based on how their grade-level cohort performs in these key areas. It’s not a competition, it’s a challenge for growth, where students work together to make positive choices, show up consistently, and strive for excellence in the classroom.
We’re so proud of the progress our students have made so far this year! Their hard work, focus, and commitment to showing P.R.I.D.E. are paying off in a big way. Here’s what P.R.I.D.E. stands for:
-
P = Purpose
-
R = Respect
-
I = Integrity
-
D = Diversity
-
E = Excellence
And here’s the exciting part—the class with the highest overall score at the end of the year will earn a Field Day celebration to recognize their effort, teamwork, and dedication to displaying P.R.I.D.E. all year long!
Be sure to check out the image below to see the current point totals for each class. Let’s keep the momentum going, GLHS! The year isn’t over yet, and there’s still plenty of time to Secure the B.A.G. together.

Lions Thrift
Get ready to clean out those closets -- Lions Thrift is back and the Student Council is ready to collect! This student-led project encourages students and staff to reduce, reuse, and donate by bringing in gently used clothing items they no longer wear. Donations will be collected from Monday, October 27 through Friday, November 14 in the main office, by the L doors, and at Clark Hall. Collected items will be transformed into a free, in-school thrift event, where students and staff can browse and take what they need at no cost!
We're collecting:
- Outerwear (jackets, sweaters, hoodies, etc)
- Tops (t-shirts, long sleeves, tank tops, etc)
- Bottoms (jeans, leggings, sweatpants, shorts, etc)
- Shoes
- Accessories (jewelry, watches, etc)
We're NOT collecting:
- Undergarments
- Swimwear
- Socks
After the event, all remaining items will be donated to Goodwill, allowing us to give back to the broader community. The event will take place during lunch periods on Tuesday, November 25 -- perfectly timed for the season of giving!
Fall Musical: Into the Woods
Our incredibly talented students have been working hard to bring James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods to life on stage! This beloved Tony Award-winning musical weaves together classic fairy-tale characters in a story that’s both enchanting and deeply meaningful.
This year’s production is extra special, as it marks our first-ever fall musical and the final performance on our current stage before we move to the new building. The show features student-driven choreography, design, projections, and performances that truly showcase their creativity and dedication.
Join us November 13-15 for this memorable performance as we go “Into the Woods” and “On to the New Stage.” Opening night will also include the exciting announcement of our spring show! Tickets are available now! Click here to buy your ticket.
Don’t miss this magical celebration of student talent and tradition!
SchooLinks Spotlight
Recommendation Letter Requests
This week in SchooLinks, students can request recommendation letters from teachers and counselors directly through the platform. These letters play an important role in college and scholarship applications, highlighting each student’s unique strengths, character, and achievements.
Encourage your student to:
-
Identify which teachers or counselors they’d like to request letters from
-
Submit requests early through SchooLinks
-
Provide helpful details, such as accomplishments or experiences they’d like highlighted
Requesting letters early and thoughtfully helps teachers and counselors craft strong, personalized recommendations. It’s an important step in showcasing who your student is both in and out of the classroom!
If you or your student have questions along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out to their school counselor for support.
