Still Seeking Support: Holiday Meal Assistance Needed
In the spirit of the holidays, Fisher School is offering 2 ways to help local families during the holiday season. We are looking for 15 complete holiday meals to support families in need. Each meal should provide dinner for 10 people (details below). In addition, and in lieu of gifts this year, we are asking for $100 gift cards to either Stop and Shop or the Big Y to support the families.
Lost and Found items to be donated
We have a large collection of clothing, shoes, and water bottles that have not been claimed. All remaining items will be donated over winter recess, so please take a moment to stop by and look for anything your child may be missing. There are many high-quality items—we’d love to see them returned to their owners!
News from the Health Office
As we move into a busy season in the Health Office, we’re working hard to keep our students comfortable, cared for, and ready to learn. If you’re able, we would greatly appreciate your support through our Fisher Elementary Amazon Wish List. These items help us restock essential supplies that our students rely on throughout the school day.
Also if you have any gender neutral new or gently used sweatpants or leggings to donate, we would appreciate those as well (sizes 4/6 through 14/16 as well as up to adult M)
Every donation—big or small—makes a meaningful difference. Thank you for supporting the health and well-being of our Fisher community

Winter Math Update
With Winter Break only 7 school days away, we thought this would be the perfect time to share some resources to keep those math brains active over the vacation. Of course we want everyone to play outside, relax, recharge, and read a good book, but we also know our students can be like the Energizer Bunny, always looking for the next fun thing to do.
One resource to explore is the special Winter Medley Explore & Extend Activities sponsored by our Bridges Math Curriculum. The links for each grade level are below. Each set contains developmentally appropriate activities under topics like: Math in Our World, Guess My Rule, Which One Doesn’t Belong, Same & Different, Would You Rather and Today’s Number. So many cool things to try that build critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Another fun resource, highlighted on our Family Math Website is Youcubed.
Youcubed helps students at home continue to explore and learn math through rich and creative tasks. This is a collection of modified versions of their tasks that are home-friendly, as well as some new explorations designed for learners at home.
Finally, just in case you are looking for some wintery, math books to read with a cup of hot chocolate after playing outside, check out this list for our younger students. Here is another list for our upper elementary students. While the focus may not always be on math, winter is full of wonderful patterns, shapes and events that have math connections! You just might need to dig a little to find them.

Fisher School's Annual Holiday Singalong
Our Annual Fisher School Holiday Singalong is fast approaching!
Please fill out this survey so that I may be sure to include any special DECEMBER holiday/event that your family celebrates, so that we may ALL be included in this singalong:
Fisher's Holiday Singalong Survey
Fisher School invites you to our old-fashioned, Holiday Singalong, that we may ALL raise our voices together, letting EVERYONE in your family experience the joy of having THE ENTIRE FAMILY sing together,…and make memories that will last a lifetime!
Wednesday, December 17th, 2025
6:00-6:45pm and 7:15-8:00pm
INSTRUCTIONS:
Bring a blanket big enough to seat your family, like at a summer picnic. Stake your spot in the auditorium!
Your blanket is for YOUR family (and grandparents, cousins, older and younger siblings,...)
This isn’t a “run around with your friends” night, but rather a night to snuggle up as a family - among the larger “Fisher family” - and sing a variety of songs that are celebrated by our families here in our school. Hearing parents, grandparents, cousins and siblings sing all together brings our ENTIRE Fisher family together and gives us memories that will last a lifetime!
(PARENTS: Choose which timeslot works best for your family. Those with toddlers may wish to come to the first one in order to get their children to bed. But…it’s a “WHATEVER WORKS BEST FOR YOUR FAMILY” laidback event! I can’t wait to see you!)
Musically,
Mr. Holmes
