The Eagle Eye
October 2026
Hello, It's me!
But first, let me introduce myself!!
Hello, Eagle Springs Elementary!
My name is Dixie Thigpen, and I am so excited to be the new Family Engagement Liaison here at Eagle Springs Elementary! I am thrilled to begin this new adventure with all of you and become a part of the Eagle family.
Let me tell you a little about myself! I have been married to the love of my life, Chris, for almost 20 years. Together, we have two beautiful daughters, Gracie, who is 17, and Savannah, who is 9. Both of our girls attend school in Bleckley County.
Before joining the Eagle Springs family, I worked in a chiropractor’s office. While I enjoyed my previous career, I was ready to learn new things, grow, and take on a new challenge. That journey led me to Eagle Springs Elementary, and I am so thankful it did!
When I am not at school, my family and I love spending time outdoors and going on all kinds of adventures. We enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. We also love getting creative together and working on DIY crafts and projects.
I am truly looking forward to getting to know each of you and becoming an active part of the Eagle Springs community. I can’t wait to share my talents, ideas, and enthusiasm with you while also learning from the amazing students, families, and staff here at ESES.
My goal is to help create meaningful opportunities for our families to connect, feel welcomed, and be an important part of our school community.
I am excited about all that this new adventure has in store!
Until then, keep soaring, Eagles! 🦅
