St Anthony's School community works collaboratively to teach and live the values of Christ. While respecting tradition, and to meet the demands of a rapidly changing society, it strives to educate our children to their full potential.

Principal's Message Principal's Message

Heavenly Father,

As we begin this new school term, we pray for your guidance, strength and protection for all in our community.

May your wisdom fill our hearts and minds as we face new challenges and opportunities.

Help us to remain focused on our purpose and grant us the strength to overcome any obstacles that may arise.

As we navigate the ups and downs of this term, remind us that we are never alone.

Fill us with hope and courage, and let us shine your light in our school and community.

We make this prayer through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

St Anthony pray for us.

Welcome back to school for the second semester of this year. I trust that, despite the rain, your family managed to have a wonderful break and enjoy the bouts of sunshine in between the wet weather.

This term promises some exciting events for children and families so please keep an eye on the newsletters and the live calendar on our website to ensure you have the information you need.

IF YOUR CHILD IS CELEBRATING A BIRTHDAY….

We know many parents, particularly in the younger years, like to bring in cakes or sweets for the children in the class to help celebrate their child’s birthday.

As we have many children with allergies and dietary requirements we ask if you are sending in cake or sweets that you limit it to a small cupcake or a small sweet such as a Freddo Frog. These will be given out at the end of the day for the children to eat at home. Regardless of whether you send in a treat for each child or not, children celebrating a birthday are acknowledged in the classroom.

We would like to remind families that St Anthony's is an allergy aware school. Therefore, for the health and safety of children and staff with allergies, peanut butter, Nutella, nuts and muesli bars containing nuts are not to be included in your child’s lunch.

God Bless

Therese Bandy

Principal

School Code of Conduct School Code of Conduct

A reminder that every member of the St Anthony’s School community must behave in the manner described in our Code of Conduct.

Our Code is like the 40km/h speed limit outside our school in the mornings and afternoons. It defines behaviours that keep our students safe: at school, and elsewhere. Children and young people surrounded by adult and peer behaviours as outlined in the Code are more likely to recognise and choose healthy relationships for themselves.

Conduct Statements

  1. You act safely and competently.
  2. You give priority to students’ safety and well-being in all your behaviour and decision making.
  3. You act in accordance with the values of the Gospel as defined in the Code of Ethical Conduct.
  4. You conduct yourself in accordance with laws, agreements, policies and standards relevant to your relationship with the school community.
  5. You respect the dignity, culture, values and beliefs of each member of the school community.
  6. You treat personal information about members of the school community as private and confidential.
  7. You give impartial, honest and accurate information about the education, safety and well-being of students.
  8. You support all members of the school community in making informed decisions about students.
  9. You promote and preserve the trust and privilege inherent in your relationship with all members of the school community.
  10. You maintain and build on the community’s trust and confidence in Catholic schools and the Church.
  11. You act reflectively and ethically.
  12. You allow students to have a voice in their education, safety and well-being

The Code describes the minimum requirements expected of all members of our community and that all in our community conduct themselves personally and professionally in a way that maintains public trust and confidence in our school and the Church. While mandatory language such as ‘must’, ‘shall’ and ‘will’ is not used throughout the Code, there is a presumption the conduct described is mandatory and therefore not optional.
