- It’s easy to get started in Track it Forward—just click on the link and follow the instructions.
- The platform is also available as an app if it’s more convenient to use on your phone!
Thank you for taking time to log your volunteers hours - every entry helps!

Volunteers are an essential part of the Ridgeline community, and there are many ways to get involved!
- From serving on committees, preparing materials at home, and helping with grounds work, to assisting in classrooms, chaperoning field trips, acting as crossing guards, and more—your time and talents make a big difference.
Each family is asked to contribute 40 volunteer hours per school year and we’d love to help you find volunteer opportunities that fit your schedule and interests.
- To participate, all volunteers must first complete a background check and sign the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
- Once these two steps are complete, the School Community Coordinator will notify you by email that you are green badge approved and ready to volunteer!

Track it Forward - Information for New Volunteers
Why It Matters
New beginnings prompt the opportunity to form new habits! When it comes to volunteering, we need everyone to consistently track ALL volunteer hours throughout the school year in Track It Forward. - Go to https://www.trackitforward.com/user or go to the App store on your device and search for Track It Forward
- Next download the App

Ridgeline Board Seeks Feedback from New Ridgeline Families
Hello families,
I hope you’re all doing well and had a lovely spring break! The Ridgeline Board is gathering input from families who joined Ridgeline for (or during) the 2025–26 school year, whether as kindergarteners or in older grades. We’d love to learn more about your experience joining our community as we look ahead to next year.
We invite interested families to share a brief (3–5 minute) update at the beginning of a monthly Board meeting. You’re welcome to speak about your personal experience and offer ideas for how we can better support incoming families (for example: “What worked well?” And “What could be improved?”).
▶️ To sign up, please use this link:

*If you do not wish to attend the board meeting in person, or virtually, you can also submit your feedback in writing via email.
Note: The Board does not hear complaints regarding specific individuals. The school has a formal policy for submitting complaints. For more information about this process, please contact Executive Director Chrystell Reed.
Warmly,

Class Placement Input Form - due Friday, April 24
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to share some important information about class placements. You can read about the full process here.
Why it matters
Classroom placement at Ridgeline shapes student growth, classroom balance, and community dynamics. It’s a thoughtful, data-informed process that considers academic, social, and developmental needs—not specific teacher requests.
Who should complete the input form
Families of:
student moving to a new level next year. If your student is transitioning within our 3-year classroom bands.
students who may benefit from previous relationships with a student who will be moving levels.
middle school students who would benefit from the placement team know about social dynamics.
Your insight is valued.
What you need to know
The Class Placement Input Form is open April 2–April 24.
You’re invited to share your student’s learning style, strengths, and needs—not teacher preferences.
The placement process is collaborative and multi-layered; final decisions rest with the principal.
Info shared will be reviewed alongside staff insights to support whole-child placement.
Middle school update: Each year, student cohorts are reshuffled to ensure balanced, diverse, and supportive learning environments. Returning 8th graders should expect to be placed in a different cohort than last year, alongside incoming 7th graders.
Questions?
- Contact: placement@ridgeline.org
- Submit your input here
Please note: The Ridgeline Board is not responsible for class placement or the appropriate place to submit feedback. Direct emails with questions or comments to placement@ridgeline.org.
State Testing Schedule & Support Tips
State testing has started! For students in grades 3-6, it runs from April 13–May 2, from 8:45–11:00 AM. Middle School testing will take place May 4–15.
To help your student do their best:
💤 Prioritize sleep: Keep consistent bedtime routines and aim for a little extra rest.
🍎 Pack extra snacks: Focused brains need fuel!
⏰ Arrive on time (or early): A calm start makes a big difference.
📅 Schedule thoughtfully: If possible, move morning appointments outside of testing windows.
Thank you for helping us protect this important time. State testing provides valuable insights that support classroom learning and growth. We appreciate your partnership in helping students feel prepared and confident! 💛
State Testing 30-Day Notice and Opt-Out Forms
As a public charter school, Ridgeline is required to administer state testing for grades 3–8, and participation rates play a critical role in how our school is evaluated. If we fall below the required 94.5% participation rate, students who do not test are counted as not meeting standards, which can inaccurately lower our overall performance—even when students are excelling.
State testing also provides valuable data that helps teachers assess growth and refine instruction. At Ridgeline, we keep testing low-stress and student-friendly, and family support in encouraging participation helps ensure our students’ achievements are accurately reflected.
In case you missed it, the February 2025 edition of Ridgeline Revealed, Common Reasons for Opting Out of State Testing and Why You Should Reconsider, goes into even greater detail on this topic.
If you wish to opt your student out of state testing, complete the form below and turn it into office@ridgeline.org:
