School pictures were handed out, ask your student to review. If you are wanting a "redo" our GMS Picture Retake Day is scheduled for the morning of Friday, October 30. If you would like to review your student's school photos online please see the directions and links in the next section.
This week Quarter #1 ends on Friday, October 23. Grades can be viewed at any time on OTIS, please take time to review grades and discuss with your student. Students, don't forget to:
- Check-in with your teachers - How are you doing in each of your classes?
- Make sure all assignments are in and completed to the BEST of your ability.
- Not meeting a standard? Ask what you need to work on. AND, then PRACTICE!
- Take time each evening to review your day. Tell a family member or a friend about your day and what you learned, what was confusing, what you are excited for...
- Not understanding a lesson, vocabulary, or something else? ASK QUESTIONS! This learning is for YOU and your FUTURE!

To see if your student's pictures are available to view, please log in to your account at mylifetouch.com. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one using your email address.
To locate your student's photos, you'll need their Student ID or Portrait ID and Access Code. If you don't have this information, you can:
Check your inbox for an email from Lifetouch that may contain your access credentials and a direct link to your child's images.
Contact the Lifetouch Help Center for assistance
Please note that pictures may not become available for all students at the same time, so check back later if you don't see your student's images yet.

Text Us: Send a quick text to 309-988-0073 with your student’s first and last name, date, and reason for the absence (illness, appointment, or emergency).
Got a Text from Us? Reply Back! If you get an absence alert text from the school, simply reply directly to the text message right away.
Avoid Truancy Marks: To keep students safe, all absences must be reported by a parent/guardian. Unreported absences are required by policy to be marked as truant.

ATTENTION 6th GRADE Families: We have not received physicals and/or proof of required immunizations for many of our 6th grade students and new to Glenview students. If these documents are not received by 10/15/2026, STUDENTS CANNOT ATTEND SCHOOL ON AND AFTER THAT DATE. If you have scheduled an appointment that is after 10/15, please send an email to lcarson@emsd37.org. If you are unsure if your student meets the requirements, you can also email a request for us to check.
All physicals are to be handed-in to the Nurse's Clinic.
- Plan ahead for this year’s physical requirements. All athletes need a sports physical to try out and participate. Sports physicals are good for 13 months. All incoming 6th grade students next school year will need a current physical and two immunizations.
