Happy Holidays: The staff at Sturgis Elementary wish you a merry holiday! We hope you are able to have special moments with your friends and family. We will see you back at school on January 5, 2026!

Student attendance matters: An important fact is that regular school attendance is a strong predictor of academic success and future life opportunities. Consistent school attendance boosts reading proficiency and the development of essential life skills, like responsibility.

Lunch with your students: We promote parents coming in to have lunch with their students and have created a VIP area to allow for some special time with them. Just a reminder that friends of your student must remain with their class and food can only be brought for your child. We do this to protect confidentiality as well as students that have special dietary needs and/or food allergies.

Dressing for the weather: Just a reminder that students will be outside for recess unless our windchill dips below zero, there is a high wind warning, or heavy precipitation. Please ensure students come to school with appropriate clothing for the weather. If you are in need of assistance in getting a coat for your student please contact Chantal Ligtenberg (347-2386).
