Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been another busy and exciting week in school, and we would like to share some of the highlights and upcoming events with you.

World Book Day Celebrations
Yesterday we celebrated World Book Day and it was wonderful to see so many fantastic costumes around school. The children clearly put a lot of thought and creativity into their outfits, and it was lovely to see such enthusiasm for books and reading. Throughout the day, pupils took part in a range of activities designed to celebrate stories, authors and the joy of reading. Thank you for supporting your children in making the day such a success.

Science Week – Coming Next Week
Next week we will be taking part in Science Week. The children will enjoy a variety of exciting science activities, investigations and challenges in their classes. It’s always a great opportunity for pupils to explore their curiosity, ask questions and think like scientists. We look forward to sharing some of their discoveries with you.

Forest School Sessions Begin
We are delighted that the first of our Forest School sessions will take place next Friday. These sessions provide wonderful opportunities for children to learn outdoors, develop practical skills and build confidence through nature-based activities. Please remember to send children with suitable outdoor clothing and footwear so they can fully enjoy the experience.

Parents’ Evening – Final Session
Our final Parents’ Evening of the term will take place on Thursday evening. This is an important opportunity to talk with your child’s teacher about their progress and learning. If you have not yet booked your appointment, please ensure you do so as soon as possible.

Friends of Kirk Fenton – Curry and Quiz Night
Finally, don’t forget that the Friends of Kirk Fenton Curry and Quiz Night is taking place next Friday evening. It promises to be a fun social event for the community and a great way to support the school. We hope to see many of you there.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Have a fantastic weekend,

Mel Walmsley
