JMMS Updates
September 5, 2026
Student Voice Takes the Lead
As we head into a four-day school week, we are celebrating students who are stepping forward to help shape the JMMS experience. Our 2026–2027 Little Congress officers are ready to listen, lead, and bring student ideas to life.
Grade 6 officers are Quinn - Leader; Sam - Deputy Leader; and Reese - Clerk. Grade 7 officers are Akiba - Leader; Maddie - Deputy Leader; and Kross - Clerk. Grade 8 officers are Gurshawn - Leader; Greg - Deputy Leader; and Lucas - Clerk.
At the September 2 General Assembly, Little Congress also elected Quinn as Speaker and Reese as Clerk. These students will meet throughout the year as grade-level officers and as part of the monthly General Assembly. Any JMMS student may attend General Assembly meetings, so students should watch the AM announcements for the next meeting date.
Congratulations to all of our officers. We look forward to seeing how their ideas strengthen JMMS this year!

Parents and Teachers Together
P.A.T.T represents Parents and Teachers Together! One of our goals as the Parent Group is to create fun activities for the students, while showing our support to the teachers and staff. Various events throughout the school year are put on by the P.A.T.T. Another goal that we have is to raise funds for J.M.M.S, to allow for upgrades around the school!
6th Grade Parents – We’d Love Your Help! 🎃💜💛
Join us on September 10 at 6:00 PM at Ohio Roasting as we begin planning the 6th Grade Halloween Dance on October 8!
All 6th grade parents are welcome to attend and help us brainstorm, plan, and make the dance a fun night for our students.
Please note: This is not an official PATT meeting. We will be focused specifically on planning the Halloween dance.
We hope you can join us!
Getting involved with JMMS PATT is a way to support students, teachers, and the school community. Families can help by volunteering at events and activities, supporting fundraisers, or sharing ideas.
Backpack Food Program
The Jackson Local Schools Backpack Food Program, offered in partnership with RiverTree Jackson, is available to Jackson families. Families who participated last year were sent the program link by email.
