Board of Directors
Executive Director Finalist Announcement
CCA Community,
The Executive Director Search Committee posted for the open position of Executive Director of Cherry Creek Academy in late October and after reviewing application material this past week, the committee selected a candidate for the Board of Directors to interview on November 18th at a Special Board meeting. The Board unanimously agreed to the resolution to name one finalist in the Executive Director Search.
The finalist for CCA Executive Director is Mr. Travis Hargreaves.
After graduating from the University of Wyoming, Travis began his teaching career at Cherry Creek Academy, serving as a teacher and Assistant Principal from 2013 to 2021. He then transitioned to Kiowa as the Preschool-12th grade Principal and later assumed the role of Superintendent, a position he has held since 2021. These experiences have equipped him with the leadership skills and knowledge necessary to guide a school or district effectively.
Travis and his wife, Nicole, are proud parents of three daughters: Abby (8), Raegan (6), and Delilah (16 months). Nicole is a first-grade teacher at Cottonwood Elementary in Cherry Creek School District, and together their family is deeply rooted in public education.
Outside of work, Travis enjoys coaching his daughters in ice hockey, spending quality time with family, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. He brings a high level of energy, passion, and commitment to his work, and he is genuinely excited to lead the school community that has played such an important role in his family’s life.
Next Steps
The next step in the Executive Director Search Process will include Community Feedback. We encourage the CCA Community to provide their feedback to the Board of Directors using the Executive Director Finalist Feedback Form. The feedback window will be open November 19 to December 5. The CCA Board of Directors will vote to offer a contract at the Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, December 9.
The Board is dedicated to finding the best leader for our school and engaging our community in the process.
Sincerely,
Cherry Creek Academy Board of Directors
