Conference Season!
We welcomed families for Fall conferences last week and look forward to seeing more Tuesday. Thank you to those who completed the pre-conference planning form. This helps us tailor the conferences to meet the various needs across our families.
This week we will be enjoying a Fall break Thursday and Friday. When we return, Halloween will be on the horizon. A reminder, about our school's approach to Halloween celebrations.
While Halloween is a holiday enjoyed by many, we acknowledge that it is not celebrated by all of our students or their families. In consideration of the diverse backgrounds and beliefs within our school community, we do not observe Halloween at school or during the school day. Please know that this is the case for many holidays including Valentines and St. Patricks Days as well.
Regarding Halloween, we kindly request that students refrain from wearing Halloween costumes or masks to school. This measure is in place to ensure that all students feel included and comfortable, regardless of their cultural or personal preferences.
We appreciate your understanding and support in fostering an inclusive and respectful environment for all of our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to help every scholar grow! Please feel free to reach out to our office if you have any questions. Mary

Hi! My name is Miriam Browman and I’m your student’s School Counselor. I have the best job in the world: supporting your child with their academic readiness, emotional regulation, and social success. It’s an honor to be an adult in their life for six years and watch them bloom into their genuine and authentic selves.
Your student will have guidance every other week. Lessons are grounded in Wisconsin’s CASEL Standards. Each newsletter will be updated after each lesson; about twice a month. Each newsletter will include (1) a tip for how to connect with your student, (2) content from the week’s lesson, (3) a reinforcing activity you can do at home and (4) introducing families to the language and strategies associated with “Zones of Regulation.”
