A Message from our Instructional Coach, Mrs. Gauthier
What a bittersweet last week before Spring Break. On Wednesday, our staff and students gathered to celebrate our character trait ambassadors for Kindness. The choir kicked off the assembly with a performance, showcasing their hard work and dedication to music. Then the kindness ambassadors received their recognition for demonstrating kindness not only in their words, but in their actions towards staff, peers, and the school community as a whole. Kindness is what makes Hawks View a safe and welcoming school.
Also at Wednesday’s assembly, our school community said farewell to our STEM teacher, Mrs. Bretsch. Mrs. Bretsch came to Hawks View four years ago and, alongside her colleagues at the other elementary schools, built our STEM program from the ground up. She has been an integral part of Hawks View. She will be missed by staff and students! We wish Mrs. Bretsch the best on her move East.
Join us Tonight @ 6:00PM! Community Review Night
Make A Difference Monday @ Langer's ~ March 24th
Join us at Langers on March 24th, for Make A Difference Monday. All day! All proceeds from bowling and shoe rental will be donated to Hawks View Elementary PAC.
Mason Jar Science Grades 3-5
Join Mason Jar Science and explore the world of science! This mini program will allow students to practice their observation and hypothesizing skills and then conduct their own experiments to occasionally take home. Depending on the interest in this program there may be multiple sessions to keep the program size manageable. Permission slips will be coming home in Friday (3/21/25) backpack mail, and are due Friday April 4th. If you do not receive a flyer, you can also view it here.
Kindergarten Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program
If you or anyone you know is interested in our Dual Immersion program for Kindergarten, information can be found through our school website at: Hawks View Dual Language Immersion
Additionally, you are welcome to join us on Wednesday, April 9th for a DLI Interest & Showcase Night starting at 5pm. The “interest” portion of the evening is from 5:00-5:30. This portion will be both informative and interactive for our families who are curious about the program. The “showcase” will run from 5:30-6:30pm and will give families a glimpse into the DLI program from K-4th grades. This evening is for both parents and students!
