EJMS Jaguar Weekly Jan. 6 - 9

Welcome back to another semester at EJMS. Our faculty and staff had a great day yesterday getting ready for our students' return. We began the day revisiting our guiding principles for this year of Consistency, Coherence, and Belonging and then spent some time exploring how we share that sense of belonging with our students and with you, their families. We have several Parent and Family Engagement events coming up this semester - one towards the end of each month Jan - April starting with our Family Games Night on Jan. 29. We hope that these events and opportunities such as watching your student shine on stage in our upcoming spring musical or on the court or in the field help you to find that sense of belonging at EJMS as well. We look forward to seeing you in our building and at community events in 2026!

As we begin this year, students will be revisiting and revising the social contracts that they created in class at the beginning of the year as well as reviewing our school wide expectations. Be sure to ask them about these discussions and their goals for their learning and their behavior this semester. We're looking forward to a successful second semester at EJMS!

The 7th Grade Charleston Trip has added some exciting fundraising opportunities to help off-set the cost of the trip. If you and your student are still interested in attending this exciting class trip, please reach out to Mrs. Areaux- michelle.areaux@jessamine.kyschools.us. We still have a few spots open!
