Respect and Empathy in November
November is a great month to focus on the habits of character for respect and empathy. Each Friday, we will wear red! As we continue through the month of November, please talk with your child about these two very important characters.
Talking points for respect include:
- Being kind and polite
- Listening to others
- Think before you speak
- Respecting personal space and belongings
- Admitting when you are wrong
- Avoiding gossip
- Speak up if others around you are being unkind.
Talking points for empathy include:
- Refraining from making negative statemenets or judgments about others.
- Recognize the emotions of another.
- Seeing the world from others points of view.
- Communicating that you understand their feelings.
We are committed to working with you!
If you would like to talk to your child's teacher, counselor, the principal, please either call or email the person to set up a time. We value your time and want you to have our full attention.
Please understand that there are many things that we do during the school day and may not be able to meet with you without an appointment. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
