EVERY SCHOOL DAY COUNTS. “Did you know?” Research indicates attendance has a direct impact on academic outcomes. As we approach mid-year testing in January, we want all of our students to feel confident and successful in their learning. Every day your child attends school moves them closer to that goal. Please help your child come to school every day before winter break — only 8 school days left in 2025!

With the cold weather upon us, please make sure your student brings a sweater or jacket to school and maybe a hat/gloves. If your student likes to jump in puddles or be the first to slide down the slide please help remind them to pack a change of clothes, including socks and underwear.

We have a very small clothing closet that is mostly stocked with t-shirts right now so it would be super helpful for everyone to have a back up change for those little accidents that can happen to anyone.

Thank you!

Birdie's Place

"A hummingbird is sacred in many cultures, always symbolizing good luck, joy, and beauty."

The Lewis Winter Bazaar was a wonderful community event thanks to all of the volunteers, performers, and vendors! The Sellwood Middle School Jazz Band showcased their amazing talent on stage, the bake sale and coffee (donated by Keeper Coffee) nearly sold out, and we had more kid vendors than ever before that we had to expand into the gym!

Thank you to Mr. Jamesbarry for coordinating the musicians, Mr. Patterson for leading the jazz band, our custodian, Jesus, for helping setup and cleanup, and to all the volunteers who brought items for the bake sale, helped setup and cleanup, volunteered at the bake sale, wreath sale, or where needed, and to all the parents who supported their students at their booths. Last but certainly not least, a ginormous thank you to Lisa Grandgeorge for being the most organized, calm and efficient chair! Without Lisa's tireless and quiet behind the scenes coordinating the Winter Bazaar wouldn't be possible.

The 2026 Auction is coming together! A venue and date have already been secured.

Love to talk with local businesses? Have a knack for securing fun donations? We need you! Join the auction committee and join the fun.

No need to be a PTA member to participate!
