Lighthouse Kids Happenings
Fallston United Methodist Church -Fall 2026
Hello Lighthouse Families!
Welcome to the newsletter about Lighthouse Kids at Fallston UMC! The newsletter will be emailed to you quarterly to allow you to catch up on what is happening in Lighthouse kids and to learn events that your family may want to attend.
Fall is my favorite time of the year. The weather is perfect for a campfire and letting the breeze blow through the house (and the added bonus of saving money on my BGE bill!). My family loves to hike and there is nothing more relaxing them spending time in nature and seeing God's beautiful leaves full of color.
My kiddos and I headed back to school last week. It was a bittersweet time in my house as my oldest started his senior year of high school. In one month, he will legally be an adult. The old adage that “Days are Long but the Years are Short" certainly seems true when your children hit certain milestones. It seems like just yesterday I was dropping him off for his first day of preschool. The long days may not aways be easy but I am very thankful for the years that God gave us as a family.
Another year of Lighthouse kids started on September 6th. No matter how often you attend (regularly or once every few months), please register so we have information on allergies and emergency numbers. The link to register is below. Thank you!
A new Confirmation Class is forming soon. There will be an information meeting on September 20th at 11:30, for all youth and parents (6th grade and above) who are interested in confirmation. Please see below for information about confirmation and dates of meetings and service projects.
Bible Sunday is September 27th. All third graders (and any 4th and 5th graders who have not received one) are presented a Bible during both services. If you miss that date, please let Ms. Ashley know so she can make sure you receive your Bible.
Youth Choir is starting back on September 20th! The Youth Choir is open to all children from age 3 to teenagers. Anyone is welcome to join and at any time! Please see below for the Youth Choir schedule.
The Holly Jolly Holiday Bazaar will be on Saturday November 21st, 9am-2pm. There will be over 48 vendors, food options, bake table, a Children’s Winter Wonderland featuring gingerbread house decorating, kids only Shopping Corner, and Santa! Come and find that perfect Christmas gift! Teens are welcome to help.
The Advent Family workshop will be on November 22th at 11:30. Join us for lunch and to learn more about the advent season while making an Advent wreath for your home. Families, couples, and individuals are welcome to participate.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
