A Message From the Principal
Dear Park View Families,
As we celebrate Labor Day, I’ve been thinking about how grateful I am for the many people who work each day to make Park View such a special place for our students.
Everywhere I look, I see people giving their time, talents, and energy to help our kids succeed. Our teachers and staff work incredibly hard to create classrooms where children feel known, supported, and challenged. Our families volunteer, encourage learning at home, attend events, and partner with us in so many important ways. And, of course, our students are doing some pretty incredible work of their own as they learn, grow, make mistakes, try again, and discover just how much they are capable of.
Labor Day is a wonderful reminder that meaningful things are rarely accomplished alone. They happen when people show up, work hard, care about one another, and contribute what they can. I see that happening every day at Park View.
I hope this long weekend gives your family a chance to slow down, spend some time together, and enjoy a well-deserved break. Thank you for the work you do at home and for trusting us with your children each day. It truly takes all of us working together to help our Bees Fly Higher, Together!
Happy Labor Day!
With gratitude,
Jenna Jarvis
Principal, Park View Elementary
A Message from our Librarian
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As your children are now regularly attending the library, I wanted to let everyone of our book handling expectations and policies regarding damaged/lost library books.
Library Rules for Book Handling:
1. Clean Hands: Please make sure your child has clean hands when handling books to keep them in good condition.
2. Safe Storage: Encourage your child to store books in a safe place, away from food, drinks, pets, and young siblings.
3. Timely Returns: Help your child return books on time so others can enjoy them too. They attend the library the same day every week.
Damaged/Lost Book Policy:
Please do not try to fix damaged books on your own. I have special book repair materials that I use to fix slightly damaged books.
Accidents happen, and sometimes books get damaged. If a book is returned with significant damage, a fee will be assessed to cover the cost of repair or replacement.
Here are the details:
- Minor Damage (e.g., bigger tears, slight water damage): $7
- Major Damage (e.g., missing pages, extensive water damage): Cost of the book
- Lost Book: Cost of the book (if book is found after missing copy is paid for, student keeps the original copy)
- Take-Home Books/Bags (major damage or lost): $5
If you do not want your child to check out any books, please email and let me know.
Our goal is to maintain a library full of wonderful books for all students to enjoy, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
I love reading and love to foster an enjoyment of reading in your children every year. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at megan.niepraschk@nebo.edu or 801-465-6010.
Sincerely,
Megan Niepraschk

We will have school shirts available to purchase at our Park View Carnival! We’ll have more children’s XS and S sizes, as well as adult sizes available.

Come enjoy the carnival, grab a school shirt, and get ready to show your Park View pride every Friday! 🐝💛
Otter Pops for a Purpose!
For one week, we’ll be selling Otter Pops at Park View! This is a fun way for our students to enjoy a treat while helping fund a scholarship for a graduating high school senior who was once a Park View Bee.
It’s a simple way for our current Bees to cheer on a former Bee as they take their next big step! 🐝

School Community Council
School Community Council is a wonderful opportunity for parents to have a voice in the decisions that help shape Park View Elementary. Council members work together with school staff to discuss student achievement, school safety, and how school improvement funds can best support our students. If you are interested in serving on the School Community Council, please complete and return the attached interest form to the school office by August 1st. We would love to have parents from a variety of backgrounds and grade levels represented and hope you'll consider getting involved!
Thank you!
