Notes for the week:

Our 8th graders did such an awesome job with all of their testing last week. We appreciate their attendance, positive behavior and PERSEVERANCE. Those are long days and they handled it beautifully. This week 6th and 7th grade will each take portions of the M-STEP. In addition, 7th graders will be out of the building on Tuesday afternoon to visit the GI-TEC center at Mt. Pleasant High School. this is a great opportunity to see some of the classes and programs available to them once they begin high school. It's a resource we are very lucky to have in our community.

Keep watch on the WAG for all of the important information and dates associated with the end of the year. We have field trips, honors assemblies and fine arts showcases ahead. So much to celebrate after an amazing year at MPMS.

I mentioned perseverance, our Capturing Kids' Hearts theme for the month, above and have been seeing it action all around the school. I love how everyone comes together to "finish strong" in academics, planning ahead and launching our students to the next things ahead. As a school we continue to persevere by setting high expectations inside the classroom and out. Our commitment to CKH, our TEAM values and creating a school climate where everyone feels safe, seen and supported continues to drive everything we do. This week we were recognized as a CKH National Showcase School, which highlights our dedication to being relationship driven. When it comes to that, there is no finish line but we will keep moving forward and work to continuously improve!

You may enroll your student in transportation at the following link.

If your current student has not rode the bus since May 1, 2025 you will also need to re-enroll the student(s) using the link above.
School starts August 21, 2025

The sign up deadline for riding the bus the first week is August 8, 2025. Anyone enrolled after this date will begin August 25, 2025.
You are encouraged to download the parent app My Ride K-12 https://myridek12.tylerapp.com/login . If you have any questions please call 989-775-2323 x 32810. The Transportation Department will call you back if we miss your call please leave a detailed message. On August 18th you will be able to locate your student(s) pick up and drop off time using this app. There are several options within the app under the settings.

Most badges will be available at the orientations and back to school events. If your child does not receive their badge before school, the driver will have their badge the during the first week of school.

For Elementary Students Attending MPMS

• These students WILL NOT attend on most days that alter the daily schedule, including delay days, half days, and days where MPMS students start with first hour. One issue is that there may not be a bus available to transport them back to their elementary schools. Another issue on delay days is that they will be finished with their MPMS math class long before their elementary start time.

• The only exception to this rule will be days where they will be taking their trimester exams. They will indeed attend on exam days, even with the change in schedule.

For MPMS Students Attending MPHS

• These students WILL NOT attend on delay days, half days, and all other irregular days unless otherwise instructed by their MPHS Math/French teacher.
