Acts of kindness can make the world a happier place for everyone. They can boost feelings of confidence, being in control, happiness and optimism. They may also encourage others to repeat the good deeds they've experienced themselves – contributing to a more positive community.

PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of LGBTQ people, their families and friends through:

• support, to cope with an adverse society
• education, to enlighten an ill-informed public
• advocacy, to end discrimination and secure equal civil rights.
• opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender sensibility
• and act to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity
