This Week at Waters - May 15

Waters Families,

One of our own Waters Wildcat families was featured on WBEZ this week! The interview centers on the new album from the Q Brothers. Your students may recognize the name of the album "Notice X Wonder", since it inspired by phrasing used in Waters' math curriculum.

Today is the first ever combined EcoArt Fest and Wildcat Bash! Thank you to Mr. Batdorf, Mr. Landis, Ms. Rovito and Ms. Zapata as well as Friends of Waters for all the care you have put into preparing for today's festivities. Look forward to seeing you there!

We had a great first round of sessions last month. There will be an overview of the overall CIWP process starting at 3:45 PM in the gym. The working group sessions will run from 4:15-5:15 PM.

Here is a brief description of the work already underway in each group:

• Literacy for Diverse Learners - Multisensory Literacy Instruction for All Students with Learning Differences
• Fine & Performing Arts - Authentic Arts Integration into Reading Classes
• Acceleration - Using Student Choice to Bring Acceleration to Every Classroom
• Systems to Communicate Student Needs - Standardized Weekly School-to-Home Communication
• Understanding the Student Experience - 1:1 Mentorship Program During School for 8th Graders

Enrollment for next year's kindergarten is open. Please check the Enrollment page before coming to the office to pickup an enrollment packet.
