Week of August 24, 2026
Welcome back, Wolfpack!
Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year
Thank you so much for a wonderful first week of school. It was so energizing to see our students back in action. We have spent these three days focusing on learning our routines, and getting settled back in. All students in grades 7-12 should have received their 1:1 device by this point, but if your student still needs theirs, please have them stop by the Main Office so that we can connect them with our Technology Coordinators. We know that the first few weeks are exhausting (for the adults, too). Students are getting back into longer days and may require extra rest, comfort foods, or just a big hug as they get their school feet back underneath them. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything you need!

What's new with Ms. K?
From the Desk of our School Social Worker, Ms. Kitzmiller
Hi families, I am your school social worker, Regan Kitzmiller. I am excited for another year with your children. I am here to help!
- support your child's mental health and educate them through Social Emotional Learning.
- support with identifying resources to support our students and families.
- support with attendance and helping to ensure students get to school on time, everyday, ready to learn!
- Please understand, I am not here to get anyone in trouble. I am here to work with you. If you notice an error in your child's attendance, please contact me so it can be corrected. I can be reached at kitzmir@cpsboe.k12.oh.org or 513-363-3413 with questions or concerns. I am looking forward to working with the students and families to have an amazing school year.
A Note on Chronic Absenteeism and Truancy:
I am mandated by the state to send attendance letters to students who are chronically absent and/or are truant. Chronic absenteeism calculates every absence regardless if it is excused or unexcused. Your student will be considered chronically absent if they miss over 9 days of school or the equivilent of that in hours for high school students. Tardies may not seem like a big deal but they add up! We do not expect anyone to send a child to school sick and understand students have appointments as well. Please contact the office if your child will be out absent or use the Absence Reporting form on our school website to report a full day absence.
