Important: Email Security Reminder

Dear Plato Academy Staff,
Please be aware that we are currently seeing an increase in phishing attempts targeting our organization.
Recently, staff members have received suspicious emails requesting personal details, such as the following message sent from an external address (bakjjk@sympatico.ca):
Subject: Matt Gunderson
From: STAFFS COMMUNICATION
"Good morning... Kindly provide the phone number you regularly use for text message communication. This will enable me to contact you directly..."
Important Security Reminders:
Do Not Respond or Share Details: Never provide contact numbers, home addresses, financial information, or personal data to any external email address or any message that appears questionable.
We Already Have Your Information: Administration and HR already have your contact and personal information on file in your official personnel records. We will never email you asking for phone numbers, money, or personal information.
Verify the Sender Address: Always check the actual email address of the sender. Official communications will only come directly from an official @platoacademy.net email address.
If you receive any email that looks suspicious or out of the ordinary, do not click any links or reply. Please report it immediately to the IT department or your school administration.
