Candy Donation Winners & Ice Cream
We would like to express our appreciation to all who donated candy for our school's trick-or-treating event. Additionally, we thank our teachers for participating and making the event enjoyable for our students. The candy contest winners are: 3rd grade: Mrs. Teets, 4th grade: Mrs. Sturm, and 5th grade: Mrs. Stenson. As a reward, each of these classes will receive ice cream on Wednesday. Congratulations!
Superman paid a special visit to the students last Tuesday during the ice cream delivery. It was a pleasant surprise for all. Are you aware that your student can buy ice cream on Tuesdays and Fridays for $1?
3rd & 4th Grade Dance
If you wish to chaperone the dance, please click on the link provided below. We are also in need of additional volunteers to assist with dismissal and ensure that the car line forms correctly. If you would like to volunteer for this position, please reach out to the PTO. Please note that you must be a Level 1 volunteer to participate. If you are unfamiliar with the requirements or the process of becoming a Level 1 volunteer, please do not hesitate to contact us.
STEAM Event Info
Check out the information below for the STEAM Event that is held at Shepherd University!
Volunteer
Come volunteer at MRI! Level 1 volunteers are those individuals who have a completed and approved background check. All chaperones for field trips must be a Level 1.
It is recommended that you consider getting your Level 1 if you plan on volunteering at school in any way. This way it's done and you should be good to go!
Want to volunteer as a mystery reader or help with a class lesson/activity? Communicate with your child's teacher to schedule a time to be here!
Being Present Matters!
Attendance Reminder
According to WV Department of Education Policy 4110, we are no longer allowed to excuse absences when a student is out for a trip. It is still a good reminder to make sure you communicate with your child's teacher prior to a trip so arrangements can be made for make up work and keeping your child up to date with what they miss.
Did you send a note yet?
Don't forget to submit your child's absence note.
