HOBY Leadership Opportunity: Applications Open for 10th Grade Students!
We are excited to announce that applications are currently open for the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Seminar Scholarship Competition (HOBY), a free and nationally recognized leadership opportunity for our tenth grade students. We strongly encourage all eligible students to apply to be our school’s representative.
The Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Seminar (HOBY) is a program that engages students in a weekend full of highly interactive activities focused on developing positive leadership skills. The PA leadership seminar is a three day residential program.
Students chosen to attend participate in a leadership development curriculum designed to help them discover leadership from a personal, group, and socially responsible perspective. They join student "Ambassadors" from across the state, working to build a wider network of HOBY Alumni and positive community change-makers.
The program is expected to take place in person at Neumann University in Aston, PA. Note that the dates listed in the sources for the full weekend commitment are June 12th through the 14th, 2026.
Application Details
Interested tenth grade students must complete a Google form, which requires responding to three questions in 75 words or less.
• Application Deadline: Friday, November 21st.
