Granting Dreams Awards
It’s a Season to Dream!
This spring, we were thrilled to help 127 students pursue their dreams through the Parkway Alumni Association’s Granting Dreams program. This application-based initiative empowers students with opportunities beyond the classroom—supporting passion projects, deepening interests, and opening doors to new experiences. By investing in curiosity and creativity, we’re helping students explore what inspires them and take meaningful steps toward their future.
Grant Impact Spotlight: McKelvey Chess Club
It’s exciting to see how our grants and support are making a real impact for students! Thanks to the Suzy Zucker Esstman Educational Grant, the McKelvey Intermediate Chess Club was able to elevate their Spring Chess Tournament—bringing new energy, excitement, and confidence to every match.
With the addition of 10 new chess timers (which students proudly call “so legit!”), the experience has become even more engaging and competitive. Moments like these are a powerful reminder that when we invest in students’ passions, we help them grow both in and out of the classroom.
Shine a Light This Give STL Day
Join us in supporting the Light of Parkway program—an initiative that honors the incredible individuals who make Parkway exceptional behind the scenes. From bus drivers and custodians to technology teams and operations staff, these dedicated individuals work tirelessly each day to ensure our schools are safe, clean, and welcoming for every student. The Light of Parkway Awards celebrate their commitment, positivity, and care with a $500 gift and meaningful community recognition.
This program is made possible entirely through donor support, and your gift today helps us continue this powerful tradition of gratitude and appreciation. Give today!
Give a Gift of a Clean Car to a Parkway Educator!
Express your appreciation to any Parkway educator with a Waterway carwash! Consider sending a gift certificate to a teacher, coach, counselor, administrator, SSD assistant or other Parkway staff member for the great job he/she has done and the difference it's made in the lives of Parkway students.
For only $25 we'll send a gift certificate for an Interior Clean® Carwash ($30 value) at Waterway to each person you'd like to thank at their school/building address. You may include a message of appreciation from you or your child (Parkway student) with each gift certificate. This wash covers a car wash plus interior cleaning that will make your car sparkle inside and out.
There's no limit to the number of Parkway educators you can thank with a Waterway carwash (while supply lasts), however the payment menu only allows for 10 carwash purchases. If you want to purchase more than 10 (wow!), you'll need to split your payment into more than one transaction. Purchase a Car Wash >>

Central Pride!
A little Parkway Central pride is shining at Ascension Catholic School! Stephanie Adzima Gehbauer and fellow teacher Jenn—both Parkway Central grads—are now teaching middle school together and proudly repping their Colts gear alongside students each week. It’s a fun full-circle moment that proves once a Colt, always a Colt.
