You made it! Last week before break, and it's filled with festivities, spirit days, treats, and fun. Tips: Try to keep as much classroom routine as possible before Thursday, get extra sleep and hydrate to keep your own energy levels up, and wear stretchy pants. Enjoy making holiday memories at school and home in the coming weeks!

***Winter Break**** (School Resumes January 5th - No PD Day this Year!)

Sassafras is a short distance from the school, making it convenient to drop by after Huddle for those who live all over NWA. They have pizza and charcuterie boards you can purchase on site. Significant others are welcome to join, but please note the enclosed space is limited to 40 people. Weather forecast shows 57 degrees on Wednesday, so open patio may also be an option!

Acapulco will be catering a taco bar of crunchy/soft tacos (2 per person) with ground beef, beans, rice, toppings, and chips/salsa. Our Office Staff & SLT will be bringing desserts, drinks, and other dips. We will have some space for you to dine in the War Room together if you prefer!

Semester grades will be due on January 6th. We will print and send home progress reports the week we return from Winter Break.

Great job to Mr. Barrett, our IFs, and all the test administrators for successfully completing 4 days of interim testing!

Arts Integration:

• Ms. McMillan & Ms. Micozzi collaborated on an article, Seeing to Understand: How Art Ignites Reading and Writing in Middle School, to contribute to an upcoming publication for Crystal Bridges. Museum Director, Dru Davison, said he wished he had 20 more just like it. Great job, ladies!
• Mr. Kehl (a.k.a. Brady), Ms. Morrison (a.k.a. Jody), and myself were interviewed for an NPR Ozarks at Large publication regarding the "We the People" re-installation and our partnership with the museum.
