Picture Retake Day
Monday, November 2, 2026 in the library
Retake day is for new students and staff members, transfer students, or for anyone who may have missed the initial picture day. Additionally, we welcome anyone who was unhappy with their original picture and would like to give it another try. Retake photos automatically replace original photos in school services and yearbook. If a student chooses to retake their photo, please return the original picture package to the photographer on picture day. We will replace it at no additional cost.
If this is the first time being photographed, just go to the camera and they'll create a proof for you that will be sent to your family email (or the school for staff). These proofs will be delivered approx. 4 weeks after picture day. An order code will be on the proof along with ordering instructions.

Clay Club
CLAY CLUB SIGN UP FOR NOVEMBER 2026. Who can join? This is open to any student who has taken a ceramics class — either here at HHS or at the HCA. We're looking for students with some experience under their belt (this isn't an after-school class, it's a chance to keep working with clay).
How it works:
We have limited space, so we're running it in a 3-week session for November. Sign up here!
For experienced ceramics students: You're welcome to join us right away.
Never taken a class but want to try? We'll have 5 beginner spots open starting in October. Sign up for a 3-week commitment. If you miss a session, your spot goes to the next person on the list. No spots left in November? No worries — you can sign up for the next 4-week round in December. This month we are doing a Yayoi Kusama pinch pot pumpkin. As a young girl growing up around her family’s plant nursery, Yayoi Kusama fell in love with the round, playful and lumpy shape of the pumpkin.

Visual Arts Department
Special Thanks to the HPTO: Bringing Game Design to HHS!
The Hopkinton High School Visual Arts Department extends a heartfelt thank you to the Hopkinton Parent Teacher Organization (HPTO) for generously supporting our recent visiting designer workshop. Thanks to this funding, students in our Explorations in Art and Drawing and Painting 2/3 classes had the exciting opportunity to learn directly from guest speaker Ava Garfinkel, a professional Game Designer at Hasbro. During the interactive session, both students and faculty learned so much about the professional game design process, industry prototyping, and creative problem-solving. Everyone had so much fun participating in the hands-on design sprint, where students put their imagination to the test creating and Playtesting their very own original games. We are deeply grateful to the HPTO for making enriching, real-world learning experiences like this possible for our school community
