Spring is Sprung!

The school year is flying by and spring is quickly approaching! This means that spring state testing is also right around the corner. As directed by the Michigan Department of Education, Marshall Academy will be participating in the required standardized testing for students in grades 3-11. All testing will begin in April, the first week after we return from Spring Break. Students in grades 3-11 will take the online M-Step (Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress), the College Board PSAT/SAT assessments, and the ACT work keys.

Please be sure to look at the testing calendar and ensure that your student will be present for all testing days. Attendance at this time is very important!

Library Presentation 📚- Wednesday, March 26th the library will be coming to present for reading month.

MS/HS Boys Basketball Awards Banquet- March 27th starting at 6:00pm in the MA gym, pizza will be provided. Please bring a dessert to pass.

Honor Roll📝- Friday, March 28th at 8:00am during opening ceremony

Dress Up Days- March 28th- White/Neon Day & Dance Party Celebration

Popcorn Friday 🍿- March 28th.

Fun Dress "Fun" draiser Friday 💃👟👖- March 28th for $1 donation, students and staff can wear spirit shirts, jeans (no rips or holes) and tennis shoes.

School Resumes📚 - April 7th

Parent Forum Night💬- April 9th at 6:00pm in Room#207 parents are encouraged to come share concerns, give feedback and help plan for next school year.

Field Trips🌳- April 15th the 6 & 7th grade students go to Marshall Brooks Nature Preserve.

April 16th for 6 & 7th grade students to Kalamazoo Air Zoo

(field trip permission slip forms will be going home with all 6th & 7th grade students, if you have not received one for your student please contact the front office or click the link below).

*All field trip forms and money have to be submitter to their home room teacher by Tuesday, April 8th to be able to attend the field trips. If students do not attend the field trips, they do not attend school those days.

Pie & Popcorn Pick Up Date🥧🍿-Thursday, April 17th from noon-3:30pm

Girls On The Run/Heart & Sole🏃🏻‍♀️- Practice is every Tuesday/Thursday right after school until 4:30pm. Mark your calendars for the Girls on the run and Heart & Sole 5k at Harper Creek High School Saturday, May 17th.

Track Practice🏃🏻‍♀️- after school until 5:00pm daily.

Marshall Academy is partnering with Cornwell's for our Easter Pie & Popcorn Fundraiser to help fund new playground equipment for our students.

All pie/popcorn order forms must be turned in and paid for by Friday, April 11th. Pies/popcorn must be picked up on Thursday, April 17th from noon-3:30pm. Please make all checks payable to Marshall Academy.
